A Little About Myself
I've spent more than 12 years working in healthcare, and I've learned that the hardest part of getting help is often everything that comes before the first appointment: the insurance questions, the paperwork, not knowing what it'll cost or who to even ask.
My job is to clear all of that out of the way so you can focus on feeling better.
Most of my background is in healthcare practice management and billing, which sounds dry until you realize how often money and paperwork are the reason someone puts off care. I know my way around insurance, EAP benefits, worker's compensation claims, and private pay, and I'm happy to walk you through any of it in plain language.
Not sure whether your plan covers therapy, or what a worker's comp referral actually involves? Ask me. Nobody here will make you feel silly for asking.
Care only works if people can actually reach it.
That belief is what drew me to Safe Space Counseling, where breaking down barriers to mental health care is written right into the mission. Whether you're a first responder who's been putting this off for years or someone picking up the phone for the very first time, I want you to hang up feeling a little lighter than when you called.
Outside of work, I'm usually with my family. My daughter and I do a lot of crafts together, so our kitchen table is rarely free of glue and glitter. I love to travel, and wherever we end up, trying new food is half the point of the trip. My favorite so far is one we keep coming back to: my daughter and I go to Maui every year, and it hasn't gotten old yet.
