A Little About Myself...
Navneet Kaur, PhD, LPCC
It’s vital for therapeutic success for you and me to connect and understand each other. To help begin this process, here is a little bit of information about me, my life, and my experiences.

First and foremost, I’m a mom.
My two boys are the sunshine in my day, but - as we all know parenting can be SO DARN HARD at times! I understand the difficulties of parenting at various developmental stages and how one parenting technique may not work for all of your children.
We all struggle sometimes, and I strive to support fellow parents in solving the issues parenting can sometimes bring. I relate to the overwhelmed experience of parenting today, with countless expectations and responsibilities – and hope to help parents change their experience while supporting their parenting beliefs.
I'm also a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and an ally.

I'm the oldest daughter in a South Asian immigrant family and immigrated to the USA at 4 yrs old. In trying to create my own identity, and staying true to my values, I have learned to both accept my culture for the beauty and enrichment it brings, while also standing against inequality of race, gender, and sexual orientation.
Not only do I refuse to discriminate against everyone, I am a proud ally and LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapist.

Becoming a therapist was a no-brainer for me - I was always told I was very in-tune with people's feelings and at the time thought this was a weakness because I would cry easily at sad stories/movies/shows. But as I learned more about psychology and therapy, I knew this was my greatest strength.

The most important thing I want you to know about me is helping my clients is my passion.
There is no greater satisfaction than seeing a client grow, tackle their problems, implement the skills we’ve worked on, and ultimately find peace in their life again. I want to be an effective resource for my clients, so when it rains - they know they have someone to help them hold the umbrella.
