A Little About Myself
Born in Puerto Rico to Argentine parents, I grew up as the youngest of the family. At 21 years old, I embarked on a new adventure, moving to the continental United States, first to Florida and later to California.
As a native Spanish speaker, I’ve always had a passion for language and culture. My love for travel, arts and crafts, and exploring new culinary delights keeps my life vibrant. I do have over 1,000 pins on Pinterest! I’m married with three children and two beloved Yorkie dogs, which make my life busy, exciting, and sometimes a little chaotic.
My journey towards becoming a Licensed Educational Psychologist began in my teens. The human mind, mental health, and learning disabilities have always fascinated me, and I've dedicated myself to understanding its complexities. My goal is to use my knowledge to help individuals understand their unique set of strengths and weaknesses and support them in navigating any challenges.
Me, As Your Licensed Educational Psychologist
Credentials: Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #4000)
PPS credential in School Psychology
Having a diverse background, I bring a unique perspective to my work as a Licensed Educational Psychologist. I have dedicated close to 20 years to supporting children and adolescents with disabilities and their families.
In my previous role as a school psychologist, I provided invaluable guidance and resources to my clients, helping them navigate academic, mental health, behavioral, and emotional difficulties. I have also served in administrative roles in the school setting, including positions as a Program Specialist and Coordinator of Behavioral Mental Health in a Special Education Department serving 4,000 students with disabilities. I have also held positions as adjunct professor at California Baptist University and at the University of California, Riverside.
As a parent myself, I understand firsthand the complexities of navigating the educational system, particularly when it comes to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. My personal experiences have equipped me with empathy and a deep commitment to advocating for the needs of all my clients.
As a Licensed Educational Psychologist, my specialization is in assessments for cognitive abilities and giftedness, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders. Some of the areas covered include assessments for Dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism. I am also uniquely qualified to serve as an Independent Educational Evaluator (IEE). My expertise in comprehensive evaluations, coupled with my deep understanding of the educational system, allows me to provide unbiased and accurate assessments that are crucial for advocating for students' needs.
I am committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate evaluations that delve into the unique strengths and challenges of each individual. My assessments go beyond simply identifying a diagnosis; they offer a deep understanding of the underlying causes and provide tailored recommendations for support. I believe in fostering a collaborative environment where clients and parents feel empowered and informed throughout the assessment process.
